    This project is an approach to the relation of materials as part of a whole. Two slabs, one of wood and one of concrete, are joined using an enlarged finger joinery. The project's core is at the intersection of the two materials, were a third one (rubber) acts as an expansion joint, allowing the wood to expand and contract without cracking the concrete. Hence, the concept applies architectural ideas to the design process of specific signature pieces.
